Took this into the Sierra in November with lows around 12F. With a base layer and a puffy on I slept like a rock. The 850 fill lofted up instantly every morning. For a 15-degree bag at this weight I don't think anything competes.

The 15F rating is legitimate if you wear a layer and know how to manage condensation. Hood and draft tube are excellent. The shell is thin enough that I'd recommend a liner if you're rough on gear.

I've been chasing a bag that's warm enough for winter but not a 5-pound brick, and this is it. Two night trips in single digits, both comfortable. The long cut gives my 6'2" frame room to shift without cold spots. Compression sack brings it down small enough for a 55L pack.

No complaints about warmth—this thing is a furnace. But the fit is quite restrictive for a side sleeper and I woke up with the bag twisted around me. Quality is great, just be honest about how you sleep.

Perfect for late fall trips where a 30F bag leaves you shivering. Ventilation via the half zip works fine when nights warm up. Lost a star because the included stuff sack is cheap for a bag of this caliber.

I bought this mostly because of the price and figured it must be last year's model or cosmetically flawed. It's not—it's current, brand new, and performs like the reviews say. Frost on the tent, 18 degrees out, and I was actually too warm around 3am. The draft collar is the real deal.

My old winter bag weighed almost four pounds. This one's under two and half and warmer. Zippers run smooth, hood seals well, and after five winter trips the loft is still like new. Could not recommend more for anyone doing cold-weather overnights.
