Yes — the durable bottom fabric has a waterproof coating that blocks ground moisture, while the soft recycled top fabric keeps lounging cozy. For staking: webbing loops at each corner accept stakes on windy days, or fill the built-in Rock Pockets at the corners with rocks to weigh the blanket down. The attached stuff sack doubles as a hidden pocket for valuables when deployed.
FireLine Eco synthetic insulation blends multi-denier siliconized hollow fibers for high loft, a strong warmth-to-weight ratio, compressibility, and cushioned comfort over cold, hard ground.

Took this to a dewy morning soccer game and the waterproof backing kept everyone completely dry. It's genuinely insulated too — you can feel the warmth difference sitting on cold ground. Folds into its stuff sack reasonably small for the size.
Sand brushes right off and it blocks the damp ground underneath. Big enough for the whole family plus the cooler. The hidden pocket is a cute touch for keys and phones.
Brought it to an outdoor amphitheater show and it was perfect — warm, dry, and the dark color didn't show spills. It's a bit bulky to carry by hand but that's the trade-off for the insulation. Solid buy.
This thing is thick! We use it for tailgates and camping and it's held up great. Nice and warm.
The FireLine insulation actually works — sat on frozen ground for an hour and never felt the cold. Waterproof coating is legit. Just know it's heavier than a basic fleece blanket, which is expected but worth mentioning.
The blanket itself is warm, waterproof, and well made. My complaint is rolling it back up small enough to fit the stuff sack takes real patience. Fine if you have a car, less fun for hiking in.
We keep this in the car for park visits with the grandkids and it has been wonderful. Spills wipe off, wet grass doesn't soak through, and the little ones stay warm sitting on it. After a full year it still looks nearly new.
