Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL2 is the ultralight, side-entry 2-person backpacking tent for minimalists who want lighter, stronger, and more waterproof shelter. Now $99.32, down from $499.95 – an 80% discount – at Trek Haul Outfitters, with coupon SAVE15 for additional savings at checkout.
The Tiger Wall UL2's single-pole design keeps trail weight low for multi-day backcountry missions; see the specification table for current packed and trail weights before you order.
Use the Tiger Wall UL2 footprint – sold separately – for floor protection. The dedicated UL2 footprint is shaped for this model; a footprint made for older Tiger Wall generations or the Bikepack version may not align with the current Tiplok buckles and stake points, so match your footprint to this exact UL2 model.
The Tiger Wall UL2 uses Big Agnes Tiplok® buckles combining pole-tip capture and fly connection in one secure, easy-to-use attachment point.
Choose the Tiger Wall UL2 for side entry and a high-volume single-pole structure; the Copper Spur UL2 adds more livable space and features at more weight; the Fly Creek UL2 is the most minimalist alternative. For the absolute lightest build, compare the Tiger Wall Platinum; for bikepackers, the Tiger Wall UL2 Bikepack adds frame-bag-friendly pole segmentation.
At $99.32 you save $400.63 vs the $499.95 compare-at price. Stack coupon SAVE15, and free shipping applies on orders over $45. Add the Tiger Wall UL2 footprint to your cart and buy this ultralight tent online today.

At this weight I expected compromises, but my partner and I both fit comfortably with room for our packs in the vestibules. Side entry means no crawling over each other at 2am. Went through a gnarly storm in the Winds and stayed bone dry.
Setup was fiddly the first time but by night three I had it pitched in under five minutes. The HyperBead fabric genuinely beads water like nothing I've seen. Slightly snug for two full-size adults plus gear, which is typical for UL tents.
Cut over a pound from my old tent. Slept great through wind and rain. Side doors are genius.
It's impressively light and well made, no question. But two people with two pads leaves zero margin—we touched walls all night in condensation weather. Fine for couples, snug for friends.
I've put roughly 40 nights on this tent across the Sierra and Cascades. The fabric still looks new, zippers are smooth, and it handles wind better than my old freestanding dome. The wall angle gives surprising usable space at the head. I recommend it to everyone in my hiking club.
Bought it as a solo shelter with room to spread out. Perfect for that. Only reason it's not five stars is the price, even discounted it's a serious investment.
Two days of PNW rain and the interior stayed completely dry. That HyperBead coating is the real deal. Stakes and guylines are quality too.
Really wanted to love this tent. The main door zipper started snagging and then split on my fourth trip. Tent was great while it worked, warranty process is underway.
I was nervous spending this much after years of big-box tents. Night one in the Smokies sold me completely. It pitched fast in fading light, breathed well in humidity, and packed down smaller than my sleeping bag. My knees and shoulders noticed the weight difference immediately on the climb out.
