The stretch is the whole point and it delivers — I can high-step onto ledges without the fabric fighting me. Sealed seams, no leaks after multiple storms. Full side zips would be nice but the waist zips make pull-on easy enough.
Wore these for three rainy days on the AT and stayed dry with no clammy feeling. They pack down tiny. Sizing was true for me at 6'0" 180 lbs.
Best rain pants I've owned.
Bought these half expecting the usual sweaty-sausage rain pants experience, but the breathability and stretch genuinely surprised me. The waist adjuster works well and the ankle zips fit over my boots. The 2.5-layer fabric feels a touch thin so I baby them around thorns. Still, at $48 they've earned a permanent spot in my pack.
Waterproofing is excellent but the athletic fit is tight over fleece tights in winter. Perfect in summer with just a base layer. Know your intended use before buying.
Used these almost daily from November through March for dog walks and weekend hikes. Not one leak, no delamination, and the recycled fabric still looks new. Excellent value.
Barely notice them in the pack and they pull on fast when the sky opens up. The stretch makes them comfortable even while running to catch a ferry. Wish they came with a stuff sack.
The cut is quite trim — size large was tight in the seat on me even though the jacket in the same size fits fine. Sizing up left them too long. Might be great if you're built slim.
Leading weekend camping trips means standing around in weather I can't choose. These keep me dry and the four-way stretch means I can still set up tarps and haul gear freely. Boys in my troop already asked where to get them.
Ultralight yet they shrugged off hours of wind-driven rain in Patagonia-level conditions. The gusseted crotch means no ride-up while hiking steep grades. Would buy a second pair without hesitation.
