This is the holy grail for winter touring. Skinned up at a sweat, stopped at the summit and stayed warm without swapping layers. The Pertex Quantum Air shell cuts wind shockingly well and it packs down small in my pack. Best insulation piece I've owned in 20 years of backcountry skiing.

The PrimaLoft Active insulation is perfect for high-output days — warm when static, never clammy when moving. My only gripe is the hand pockets are shallow for big gloves. Fit is trim, so size up if you layer underneath.

Warm, light, breathes. Zero regrets.

Great for active use in the 20s to 30s, but it's not a parka. If you expect to stand around in single digits you'll want something warmer underneath or a different piece.

I used to carry a fleece, a light puffy, and a windshell. The Kor Stasis does all three jobs for most conditions. The hood fits over a beanie, the cuffs seal out spindrift, and after a full season of skiing and ice climbing it still looks brand new.

Loved the fit and warmth, but the main zipper started snagging and splitting within a month. Returning it — hopefully a defect, but frustrating at this price point even discounted.

I use this for winter trail running and it's the best I've found for staying warm on the start line and not overheating mid-run. The fabric moves with you and doesn't rustle. A bit pricey at full retail but the sale made it an easy call.

That's the highest review I can give. He wore it shoveling snow, walking the dog, and on our winter hikes until I barely saw it. We're both 60 and appreciate that it's genuinely warm but light enough to forget you're wearing it. Ordered a second one immediately.

Wore this under a shell at 14,000 feet and stayed comfortable through everything from belay stances to pitch climbing. The stretch in the fabric is excellent for overhead moves. DWR beaded off a surprise snow squall without issue.

Quality is exactly what I expect from Mountain Hardwear. The insulation regulates temperature better than any fleece I've owned. Just note the athletic cut — if you have a bigger chest or broad shoulders, go up a size.
