Mountain Hardwear Crater Lake Tank – Women's UPF 50+ Racerback Sun Tank

Spent a full week climbing in Utah sun in this tank and never once got a burned back or shoulders. Somehow it still breathes and stays cool — I expected UPF fabric to feel hot and heavy, but this doesn't at all. Buying a second one for sure.

The UPF 50+ rating gives me real peace of mind on long trail days, and the racerback cut doesn't interfere with my pack straps. Fabric feels smooth and dries quickly after stream crossings. Runs slightly long in the torso, which I actually like.

Rare to find a sun shirt that looks good too. I wear this hiking, paddleboarding, and around town. No sunburn even after hours on the water.

Sun protection and fabric feel are both solid. But the sizing feels inconsistent — my usual medium was snug through the hips and loose at the waist. It works, but I'd recommend trying it on if you can.

Snagged this during a sale and it has earned a permanent spot in my summer rotation. The knit is smooth, doesn't pill, and the color hasn't faded after a dozen washes. Great value.

This has replaced three other tanks in my drawer. It handles trail runs, crag days, and errands equally well. The UPF fabric genuinely works — my shoulders stayed pale through a Florida summer.

I really wanted this to work as a sun-safe hiking tank, but the hem constantly rode up with my hip belt and I ended up with a chafed waistline by day's end. The fabric quality is honestly good and the UPF seems legit. Just the wrong cut for my torso, apparently.

Light, quick-drying, and I trust the sun protection on long days above treeline. The white version is slightly see-through in direct light, so keep that in mind for layering choices. Otherwise no complaints at all.

I've bought a lot of sun shirts over the years and this is easily the best balance of coverage, ventilation, and style. My granddaughters even asked where I got it. Comfortable from morning trailhead to evening porch.
