The Mountain Hardwear Camp Tough Duffel 80L in Scout is your rugged car-to-campsite gear hauler — and at $78.00, down from $180.00, it's a deal worth buying online today.
80 liters swallows a multi-person camp kit: sleeping bags, pads, tent, clothing, and camp kitchen. Perfect for road trips, basecamp, and gear-stuffed weekends.
Abrasion-resistant, tough-as-nails recycled fabric built for years of loading, dragging, and roof-rack duty.
The Camp Tough 80L adds the modular organizer, clamshell access, and extra external pockets — and it's currently discounted far deeper. Is the 80L carry-on size? No — it exceeds airline carry-on limits; fly with it checked or use it for car camping.
The rugged 1200D shell sheds light weather, but it's a duffel, not a dry bag — pack a liner for full submersion or heavy rain.
$78.00 vs $180.00 means $102 in savings (57% off). Stack coupon SAVE15 and cross $45 for free shipping.

80 liters fits sleeping bags, pads, a tent, clothing, and camp kitchen gear for 2+ people — roughly a week of car-camping kit.
No. At 80 liters it exceeds most airline carry-on limits; plan to check it or use it for car camping and road trips.
At Trek Haul Outfitters it's on sale for $78.00 vs the $180.00 compare-at price — a 57% discount, plus coupon SAVE15 for 15% more savings.
The 1200D recycled polyester shell resists abrasion and light moisture, but it is not a waterproof dry bag — use a liner in sustained rain.
The Camp Tough 80L offers more volume, a clamshell opening, and a removable modular organizer with extra pockets, making it the better deal for full camp hauls.
This duffel has survived three road trips, a week of car camping, and being thrown in and out of a truck bed countless times. The 1200D fabric shows zero wear and the clamshell opening makes packing and finding things so much easier than my old top-loader. The modular organizer inside is genuinely useful, not just a gimmick. The Scout color is a nice muted green that hides dirt well.
80L is huge — swallows gear for two people for a long weekend. Zippers feel beefy and the haul handles are comfortable. Only wish it had a couple more external pockets.
Rugged, roomy, well designed.
Quality is exactly what I expect from Mountain Hardwear and the recycled fabric feels tough as nails. My main complaint is that the bag itself is fairly heavy, which eats into airline weight limits. The clamshell design is great though, and the compression straps help tame an overstuffed load.
I'm 58 and have gone through a lot of duffels over the years. This one is by far the best — the fabric doesn't snag, the zippers glide even when packed full, and my bad shoulder appreciates the padded straps. Carried sleeping bags, lanterns, and clothes for a week at the lake with room to spare.
Packing for camp got 10x easier once I switched to this. Opening flat means no more digging. Plus it looks sharp.
Loved the bag for the first trip, but one of the main zippers started catching and separating on the second outing. Customer service is replacing it, so hopefully mine was a fluke, but I expected more.
Used it for ski trips and summer camping alike. The recycled 1200D material shrugs off abrasion and mud. Internal organizer keeps small items from vanishing. Stows down fairly flat when empty, which I appreciate in a crowded garage.
This single duffel replaced both my rolling gear bag and my old camp tote. Everything fits, everything survives the trunk, and the fabric already shrugged off a brush with gravel and a rainy campsite without a mark. At 50% off this was a no-brainer. Highly recommend for anyone hauling gear car-to-campsite.
