Mountain Hardwear Women's Stretchdown Light Pullover Hoody – 700-Fill RDS Down, Packs Into Pocket

I've owned a lot of down hoodies and this is the first one that doesn't restrict me when I reach overhead. The stretch-woven tubes move with you, so it works for belaying, shoveling snow, everything. Warmth is excellent for the weight and it stuffs into its own pocket small enough to toss in any bag.

Wear it literally every day. So warm, so cute, zero bulk.

The stitch-free baffle construction is legitimately comfortable and the 700-fill down is lofty and warm. I sized up for layering and the hem rides a little when I hike, but otherwise no complaints. RDS certification matters to me too.

As someone in her late fifties who values both warmth and ease of movement, this hoody nails it. Pullover style means no zipper to fail, and the fabric has a soft, quiet feel that my old crinkly down jackets never had. I've worn it from October through a January cold snap and it handles 20°F with a base layer underneath. My daughters were so impressed they each bought one.

Bought this for alpine starts and cool evenings at camp. Breathes surprisingly well on the approach and the hood layers under my helmet when needed. The elastic cuffs seal out drafts nicely.

The down is plenty warm and the stretch fabric is comfortable, but the shell lets wind through more than I expected. On a windy ridge I had to throw a shell over it. As a mid-layer or calm-weather piece it's excellent though.

Packs into its own pocket in seconds and fluffs back up fast. Warm, stretchy, flattering cut. Docking one star because I wish it had zip pockets for keys.

I guide in the PNW and this has become my go-to belay parka for three-season use. It goes on in ten seconds over my harness, moves with me when it's time to climb, and takes a beating better than expected. Clients keep asking what it is.

Followed the care instructions exactly, but after two gentle washes the chest baffles have noticeably clumped and lost loft. Still wearable around town but no longer as warm. Expected better longevity from Mountain Hardwear.

Took this on a two-week trip to Iceland as my only insulation layer and it was perfect. Compressed into its pocket, layered under a rain shell, comfortable on long flights. The stretch panels mean I never felt constricted even sitting all day. Two months in, zero durability complaints.
