Six weeks of daily wear in Portland rain and it hasn't let a drop through. The 3L fabric feels substantially tougher than my old 2.5-layer shell and there's no crinkly noise when I move. Hood fits over a ball cap perfectly. At this sale price it's honestly ridiculous value.

I sized up to large so I could wear it over an insulated midlayer and it layers beautifully. Seams are taped cleanly and the pit vents actually help on climbs. Would give five stars if the chin guard were a bit softer.

I was skeptical of the discount, figured it had to be a defect model or something. Nope—it's the real deal. Took it up Mt. Baker in sideways rain, stayed completely dry. The cuffs have a nice internal gasket that keeps water from wicking up your sleeves.

The fabric is a little crunchy until it breaks in after a few hikes. Once softened it performs great. Sizing is trim through the chest if you're between sizes.
